Stephanie Bashir, Moderator, Trusted Policy Advisor and Renewable Energy Advocate. Stephanie is an experienced Board-level executive and has been shaping the energy industry for over 20 years.   Stephanie is Founder and CEO of Nexa Advisory working with public and private clients including renewable energy developers, investors and climate impact philanthropists to help accelerate efforts towards a clean energy transition. She has held leadership roles in energy market policy, energy technologies, consumer service innovation, and network and grid modernisation.   Previously, Stephanie provided the vision for, and drove the ‘customer-led energy market transformation’ agenda for AGL, including the policy strategy behind the Virtual Power Plant orchestration model for capturing shared value for the customer using energy storage technologies. 

John Grimes, CEO Smart Energy Council, John Grimes was appointed Chief Executive in 2008, and has grown the profile and influence of the Smart Energy Council since that time.John is a bold advocate for the smart energy industry and sits on a number of expert reference committees and boards providing advice to several state governments and the energy sector. John has a passion for the solar, storage and the smart energy industry. He is regularly called upon by the media to provide relevant and independent comment in these areas.

Ric Brazzale, Managing Director, Green Energy Markets. Ric Brazzale, has been involved in the renewable energy industry for more than 30 years and was on the initial Government/Industry working group that worked on developing and implementing the Mandated Renewable Energy Target. Prior to establishing Green Energy Markets in 2008, Ric Brazzale was the Executive Director of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, now the Clean Energy Council. During this time, Ric was actively involved in the development and implementation of a broad range of solar energy and energy efficiency policies and programs, including participating on the Government’s initial REC Advisor Committee.Making an Informed Solar Choice.

Nancy Huang. A Kew resident, Nancy was a complete novice who knew next to nothing about home electrification or solar panels prior to 2022. Having worked for over 35 years in the health and aged care industry, she recently decided, with a little more time on her hands, to reduce her carbon footprint. Nancy will share her experience going solar and electrifying her home, her motivations, decision-making process, challenges and successes, tips/tricks, and lessons learned.
