She is currently a PhD Candidate (School of Public Health, UQ) & honorary research fellow (UoM) investigating the health impacts of air pollution, mitigation strategies and how best to implement these in Australia.
Dr Monique Ryan, Federal Member for Kooyong. Before becoming a politician, Monique was Director of the Neurology Department at the Royal Children’s Hospital for 8 years. She had professorial appointments at Melbourne and Monash Universities.
Amanda Bresnan, Advocacy and Government Relations Manager with Asthma Australia. Amanda Bresnan is the Government Relations and Advocacy Manager for Asthma Australia. Amanda has worked in leadership and executive roles in the community and non-government sector for over 15 years. From 2008 to 2012 Amanda was an elected Member of the ACT Legislative Assembly. Amanda was previously the President of the Asthma Foundation ACT and a Board Member of Asthma Foundation Australia from 2012-2017. Amanda is currently a Board Member of WIRE (Women’s Information and referral Exchange Inc), and NRL Wheelchair Rugby League Victoria. She is also a judge for the Hesta Community Sector Awards.
Dr Genevieve Cowie, Public Health Physician and Convenor of Doctors for the Environment. Dr Genevieve Cowie is Convenor of the Research, Education and Advocacy Committee for Doctors for the Environment Australia. She is a specialist public health physician and currently devotes her time to raising awareness of the urgency of climate action to protect the health & wellbeing of us all.
