Healthy Homes Pilot- Programme Coordinator Contract

Are you ready to spark change in our community and take on a flexible, part-time contract?

Electrify Boroondara has secured funding to run a 4 month “Healthy Electric Homes Pilot” to advance the clean energy transition in our community, and we need a freelance Programme Coordinator to work with our Exec team and volunteers to deliver this Pilot during 2025.

We envisage the effort required will be equivalent to approximately one day a week, although payment will be on a fixed price basis.

The pilot will offer education, information, and support to community groups on reducing emissions while lowering energy bills and enhancing health and comfort in their homes. The pilot plans to offer face-to-face presentations, demonstrations (e.g., induction cooktops), and workshops (e.g., draught-proofing) to explain electrification and energy efficiency to local groups such as Rotary, Scouts, Neighborhood Houses, and Schools. The events will also make attendees aware of other Electrify Boroondara programs and resources that they can access, such as Home Energy Guides and Hot Water Hub programmes.

Other aspects include creating content for community newsletters, and encourage community members to share their electrification stories on social media.

Contract Deliverables:

  1. Engage community groups to plan and deliver 15+ events with their members and supporters. Liaise with Electrify Boroondara volunteers with electrification and energy efficiency knowledge to attend and present at the events.

  2. Ensure participants of the events are surveyed to assess their knowledge and actions they subsequently take

  3. Prepare monthly updates for the Electrify Boroondara Executive team

  4. Prepare a Pilot Outcome report which

    1. Summarises the number of events held and their attendees

    2. Identifies potential methods to scale the program across the broader community in future.

    3. Summarises the data from the participant surveys

  5. Work with EB volunteers to create and share newsletter content and encourage sharing of stories on social media

  6. Ensure sponsor is recognised in social media, via emails to our newsletter base, and via cobranding at the actual events.

Contract value: $10,000 (including GST if you are registered for GST)
