Public Transport (recommended)

Train

The closest station is Glenferrie Station (Lilydale, Belgrave, and Alamein lines), located about a 5-minute walk from the venue.

Tram

Several tram routes stop nearby:

  • Route 16 (Kew – Melbourne University)

  • Route 48 (North Balwyn – Docklands)

  • Route 70 (Wattle Park – Docklands)

Get off at stops along Glenferrie Road or Burwood Road and walk a few minutes to the Arts Centre.

On-street parking is available around Glenferrie Road and surrounding residential streets (check signage for time limits)

  • Nearby public car parks include:

  • Central Gardens / Glenferrie Oval area

  • Glenferrie Road shopping precinct parking

Parking can fill up quickly, so allow extra time or consider public transport

By bike (recommended)

  • Ride directly to the venue via nearby cycling routes along Glenferrie Road and surrounding streets

  • Free bike parking will be available onsite, follow the signs from the footpath on Burwood Road to access.

Cyclists can take advantage of a complimentary bike tune-up and safety check with Dr Cranky’s during the Expo.

Hawthorn Arts Centre includes:

  • Step-free entry with ramps where required  

  • Wheelchair access throughout the venue

  • Lift access to Level 1

  • Accessible and ambulant toilets

  • Hearing loop available on request

  • Quiet Room

Assistance animals are welcome. 

An accessible drop-off point is available via the entry on Oxley Road.
